WebDAP is informed by three areas of knowledge that are critical components in making good decisions for children. 1. Child development appropriateness Child development follows general, sequential patterns and is interrelated across domains (cognitive, physical, social and emotional). Webdevelopment of young children; (2) effects of DAP on early literacy skills; and (3) how educators views of DAP effect classroom teaching strategies. This literature review will focus on the impact of DAP on the social-emotional skills of young children in the early childhood classroom (preschool through third grade).
