I think I've narrowed down the problem to the fact that the +6.5 at the 4600 Hz band just blows things out as far as upper midrange for me. Just harshens things up way too much.

It sounds great to me and it’s not because I have hearing loss or anything else it’s because it’s close to the harman target curve. Also, Audeze has their house curve that the LCD-5 was based off of.
